Among the most beloved holiday favorites for an orchestra are highlights from Tchaikovsky’s beloved ballet, but this year the Central Iowa Symphony serves up an extra-large portion, with familiar selections from the popular suites along with portions of the greatest music that rarely finds its way onto the concert stage. Don’t miss our own hand-picked “Symphonic Suite from The Nutcracker.” The second half of the program celebrates in Viennese fashion with a rousing collection of favorite waltzes, quirky polkas, and marches to pop, boom, and ring in the new year in glorious style

Please join us for Concert Conversations 45 minutes before the performance, when Maestro Eric McIntyre provides fascinating program background to enhance your symphony experience!
