Young Artists Concert

trumpet-1422547600HFF

Take a glimpse into the musical future with our celebration of young musicians, featuring the soloist selected in the annual CIS Young Artists Competition, Kate McAlister performing the Arutunian Trumpet Concerto. This dazzling display of youthful virtuosity is perfectly complemented by our third collaboration with the Ames High School Orchestra for a stirring performance of Elgar’s Serenade for Strings.

Please join Music Director Eric McIntyre for “Concert Conversations” 45 minutes prior to the performance.
