In New Territory featuring Daniel J. Krumm, percussion

We of the Central Iowa Symphony care deeply about protecting our friends and family, patrons and musicians. In order to minimize large gatherings at this time, CIS is cancelling the May 2, 2020 Season Finale concert. We are committed to celebrating music now and in the future and look forward to the opportunity to join musical forces again!

Our season finale takes a journey into new sonic worlds and experimental paths, beginning with a concerto that brings the back of the orchestra to the front as soloist Daniel J Krumm leads listeners through a panoply of soundscapes that can only be achieved in the realms of percussion. Cesar Franck’s Symphony in D minor, a rare excursion into the symphonic domain by a French composer, brings the season to a rousing conclusion with haunting melodies and a triumphant finale.

Please join Music Director Eric McIntyre for “Concert Conversations” 45 minutes prior to the performance.
